Lisbon-based producer, video artist and DJ BATIDA is using 60's & 70's Angolan music samples and live instruments to create an amazingly effective dance machine. Hallucinatory beats, intoxicating guitars, reminders of an ageless afrobeat or an avant-garde afrohouse. What started as a radio show promoting the African music scene has become a full-blown performance, featuring dancers, DJs, MCs and visual artists.
