The young British artist offers « Friend » a sophisticated indie pop LP full of ideas, produced with a lot of famous friends of hers. This disc composed in the torment of a break up draws landscapes where the different layers of voices flow around acoustic and analog patterns that may sound balearic, folk and even a little bit ethiopian. More than a solo album, she gives us a little manifesto of modern and creative pop music, fed by her collaborations and artistic crushes.
Alias is happy to introduce you to three of their rising stars during the Alias Night at le Divan du Monde, on October 15th. To begin, the Canadian band The Franklin Electric will enchant us with his alt-pop / indie folk. Then, we will discover the British artist Rozi Plain and her indie pop, tinted with folk. To close this night, the French Selim (a.k.a Joseph Chedid) will take us in his rock-electro-pop universe.
