Called the Libanese Black Keys, The Wanton Bishops turn to the garage blues. These loose bishops hide their game very well, their hollow blues sounds like it has rotted around the Mississippi whereas it tanned under the oriental sun. It’s on a sideway in Beyrouth, through a fight, that Nader Mansour met Salim Naffah for the first time, in 2012, year of the release of their debut EP. Then, they performed as opening for Guns n’ Roses, Lana del Rey and even The Who. Next they went on tour in the entire world.
